Playgroup Update

The Multicultural Playgroup has had a positive beginning thanks to all the mums. Cora and Carol from LCMS are both pleased with the number of mums and children that have attended both sessions and hope that everyone has thus far enjoyed the group, and will continue their participation. Playgroup is an important opportunity for both mother and child. It assists mothers to expand parenting skills and capabilities, and enhance their understanding
of their significant role as the primary educators of their children.

Now that the playgroup is established it is necessary to change to a more appropriate and child friendly venue. Cora and Carol have arranged with St Lukes, the hiring of their facilities at 136 Williamson Street, Bendigo. This is a house which has been set up to accommodate playgroups and mothers groups therefore, all necessary facilities are available including toys, areas for activities indoors and outdoors, and play equipment outside which includes a sandpit. This venue is only available two days a week so we have booked it each fortnight for Tuesday from 10.00am to 12pm.
